famous for its mining resources and rice production. Their techniques have
been traditionally utilized in the production of Japanese sake and handcrafts
in Akita.
Silver Thread Work Using perseverance, sensitivity, and intuition, 0.2 mm in diameter silver
wires are twisted together to make various decorations, such as brooches,
pendants, and so on.
Sake of Superior Brand Akita, being a part of Japan's most prized rice belt, has been famous for
production of sake. Eight wine cellars in the city offer many variety of
sake.
