Annual festival of Shinmeisya shrine in Tsuchizaki
People in the port town are proud of pulling Dashi (floats) decorated with dolls of brave samurai with lively festival music. It is also called the Kasube Festival because people treat visitors with 'kasube' (ray fin cooked sweet).

Bonden festival
The heroic Shinto ritual of The Taiheizan-miyoshi Shrine. In cold winter people compete, praying for good business and happiness for their family. Because of the incredible feat of their struggle, it is also named as 'Kenka-bonden'.

The Hoshitsuji Shrine's Daruma Festival
A popular (temple) fair with the nickname of 'Daruma-san'. Lots of people visit because it is believed that people can enjoy good business when they buy Dharma dolls on a fair day.

The Festival at Kashima
It is held as a Shinto ritual at Araya-Hiyoshi Shrine. The main participants are children. People pray for their health and happiness and pull ship-shaped floats decorated colorfully, around town.
