This Sake brewery was established in 1852 (Kaei 5) and is well known among Sake lovers as the place you can find famous superior brands. Since 1852, they have worked hard to get top-quality rice, polish it, and use traditional skills to make 'Ginjoshu'.
After being awarded an honor prize at the 9th National Sake Exhibition in 1924 (Taisho 13), it has become well known nationally as sake you'll never grow tired of.

Aqula, a brewery
The first locally brewed beer in Akita City. The owner of Aqura went Germany to study how to brew good beer, and then set up the beer restaurant with a brewery. Nowadays he makes four types of beer which all are quite popular. Taste them at the restaurants in Aqura Four Square.

Kawabata,an amusement center
A lively amusement area along the Asahi River in Central Akita City. There are many 'ryotei', Japanese traditional restaurants where you can enjoy local cuisine in a traditional Japanese style room. Also there are lots of pubs and bars. The area is the busiest when the neon lights are lit in the early evening.
